On this early season duck hunt, adapting is the name of the game. From mudflats, to hunting out of the boat in a matter of hours, hunting the tide takes knowledge and patience. We were able to take a mixed bag of birds during a short window of activity.
With late season rain spreading birds out, we head to a flooded field where whistles outnumber the quacks. Flocks of wigeon and teal, along with a few bonus geese, found their way into our spread during this December morning.
